  8. Create Your Own Screen

Before you start creating a projector screen at home, you need to remember that viewers should be at least a few feet away from the screen. Here are some easy, at-home projector screens you can use:

    1. Plain white wall; avoid interior walls with texture such as wall paper, brick or cinderblock
    2. Plain white dry-erase board
    3. White sheet taped to the wall along the top and sides of the sheet; make sure you use painter's tape so that you don't peel off the paint
    4. Tape large sections of butcher paper, available at craft stores, to an interior wall
    5. Big white painting tarp taped to the flat side of an outside wall
    6. Movie screen material from a projection shop

  9. Simple Sound Solutions

Although our projectors have built in speakers, ideally they are to be used in a meeting or small conference rooms. The built-in projector speakers are not suited for outdoors. Projector123 suggests that you connect external speakers, such as PC or iPod speakers, to your “source” (the laptop or dvd player). Or, you can use your surround sound from your audio receiver. These are easy solutions to "pump up the volume".
